Recently I was giving some thought into the whole deal about how auto insurance is more expensive for men than it is for women.  Statistics have shown that there are more accidents as well as fatalities caused by Male Drivers compared to female drivers.  For Florida’s Gender related crash statistics click here.  In most age groups, Men have double the fatality rate than that of Women.  I know some younger men do like to test the lead in their foot from time to time which can also have a direct affect on these stats.  However, I also do believe Men generally drive more than women.  Every time I’ve ever caught a ride somewhere with a married couple, the man always drove, especially on longer trips.  This is where the women are being smart about the whole deal.  The less you drive the less risk you are to the Insurer.
