Snap shot, a device about the size of a computer mouse, plugs into your dash and tracks when you drive, how far you drive and how often or how hard you hit your brakes.
Progressive announced that anyone can now test their snap-shot device for a 30 day trail – regardless of who they are currently insured with. At the end of the 30 day trial they will provide you with a quote based on your general information and the information collected by snap-shot.
Should we be wary of letting Progressive monitor each and every move we make? This really depends on who you ask.
Do you let friends borrow your car often?
Your rates may be increased due to that one friend who brakes a little harder than they should.
